The McLaren 675LT Sensation

McLaren 675LT
You can describe the McLaren 675LT in three words: Powerful, Naughty and Loud. The Long Tail name came to represent the McLaren’s most extreme car back in 1997, with less weight, increased power and improved steering dynamics. Plenty of cars were built since then, but none of them has been considered outrageous enough to pick up where the original F1 GTR left off, not until now.

The 675LT is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.8 litre v8 engine delivering 666 hp. The acceleration time from 0-62 mph is 2.9 seconds and the top speed is 205 mph. For a fast transmission, the carbon fibre gear shift paddles are mounted on a rocker behind the steering wheel. This car features adjustable settings for handling, which makes it easy to steer and enables almost any driver to drive it like a hero!

The McLaren 675LT, like all of the cars in all series since the McLaren F1, features carbon fibre chassis. The total weight of the 675LT is 1,230 kg, and that is 100 kilograms less than the sibling 650S. That is achieved through increased use of carbon fibre and lighter materials. For example, the carbon fibre seats helps to reduce 15 kg, the windshield glass which is 1 mm ticker, reduces extra 3 kg of the total weight. Overall it is a magnificent sports car with outstanding design and excellent performance!
